Project started in the living room, with just removing the carpet.
Then the paneling.... then the lath and plaster. The dining room door has grown taller

Home brew bedroom door hardware

Dining room window had an AC unit in it that rotted the window frame

Clean the old frame out and take a look.... hmmm.... new window is a bit big

Cut the siding back and reframe the window

Time for a trial fit..... looks pretty good

Need something to put around the edges for trim

Trim wraps around the window frame. A bead of caulk will seal the window in the hole.

This is a closed-in porch that was a real disaster area. Taking out the carpet and paneling, and a window.

Then there is the back porch slash laundry room. Kathy wants to do this one herself !!

Couple of places where old windows were taken out

Solution #1

Solution #2

I sprayed stain on this door, and it was wayyy too much. Sanding it off.
Got some expert help picking the stain this time around

The neighbor's yard
If you look verrrry carefully, you can see Kathy's Expedition parked in the street

Wrecking out the paneling, lath and plaster out of the master bedroom
And of course, the plaster in the adjoining room couldn't be saved

The dryer has been moved to an interior wall, and a closet added opening off the master bedroom
Good place to hide a dryer vent

Two new closets and one closet make-over

Master BR is done

Check out this new window. What a difference !!

And lastly, Kathy's shaker kitchen cabinet doors
